Content Expectations
- Modules are consistent with District Calendar
- Content is published and updated a week prior to the start of the Module
- All teachers must have a Canvas/DLP course for every course
- The curriculum in the Digital Learning Platform (Canvas), should reflect the curriculum taught in a brick and mortar classroom.
- Content delivered within Canvas should be engaging and incorporate:
- Video tutorials
- Keynote and/or PowerPoint presentations
- Various and varied examples
- Outside digital resources such as (Kahn Academy, Quizlet, etc.)
Content Measured:
- An introductory page in each module that reviews the following:
- Eligible content/standards from Chalk.com
- Key questions
- Assessments/Graded Assignments
- Each module will include a video tutorial and/or Keynote/PowerPoint presentation with examples
- Each module will contain a resource section with specific videos and practice tools
Assessments & Grading Expectations
- Teachers will use a variety of assessments based on eligible content and standards in the curriculum
- Teachers will modify assessments to better suit the needs of the individual student and a digital learning environment
- Example: Instead of taking test a student can complete a standards based project
- Teachers will include formative assessments within each Module
Assessments & Grading Measured:
- Online assessments will be given using the quiz feature in Canvas, through graded assignments/projects, or in-school assessments
- Each module should include at least one assignment that requires a video/audio upload
- Grades will be updated in PowerSchool and on Canvas every other week
- Written/verbal feedback should be given on all graded assignments—formative assignments may require feedback to guide student performance
